It's ok. So is extra virgin first cold press olive oil. Don't fry with either of them though and keep in mind they can still lead to weight gain. Even peanut oil isn't too terrible in a pinch. Unrefined peanut oil that is.

90% of your oil intake should be from tallow, butter, organic unrefined coconut oil, and ghee.

Lard and chicken fat are fine if the animal is fed naturally and not a lifetime diet of corn.
