If anyone ever asks you why cryptocurrency should be a thing, this is a prime example.

That's a great point and crypto is poppin today. I guess I should appreciate Trudeau is making me money.

They can shut down your crypto... There's only a couple of truly anonymous cryptocurrencies and they are not Bitcoin or any of the ones that are very popular right now. Whatever you sign up to buy crypto and all that personal information you give them... Trust me you're not buying and selling crypto in secret they can shut you down

Who's crypto got shut down? Seems like empty FUD. Now they can track it all, that's different.

Yeah, that sounds great. You know what governments in Turkey and Venezuela have already done? Their currencies are collapsing, so they outlawed the possession of cryptocurrency. The central bankers are making sure that everyone but themselves bears the brunt of the pain. They also outlawed possession of foreign currency: no changing your money to escape! Maybe you think you'll buy things with your soon to be worthless money in order to avoid the collapse? Bzzt wrong that's 'hoarding" which is also a crime.

Man, people think that tyrannical governments are dumb. They're not, they're exactly aware of just how evil they are and they are completely shameless about it. Like all evil is.

There's a reason companies like Blackrock are pumping their money into property right now.

Why? Have you not seen where they can track that? Are you an idiot or a shill?

With crypto people turn into shills without the need to pay them because they just want their investment to go up.

Crypto is a gun to the internet's head. The internet is Palantir. I wonder if TPTB will ever sacrifice that tool.

Oh; stop it.

The only condition under which:
1. A "store of value" that fluctuates daily in double-digit percentages, dependent on the pronouncements of goofballs like Elon Musk, the Fed/Treasury and r/wallstreetbets.
2. A 'way around the government' that totally depends upon the presence of the government-monopoly Internet.
3. A world-famous energy glutton whose 'mining activities' exceed some whole countries, and worse, uses over three weeks' worth of the average US household's electricity supply for each and every "blockchain transaction", according to Digiconomist. source

... is viable, is in some fantasy fiction.
