land belonging to no one is a marxist socialism idea.

Sounds based.

How can land belong to someone? Sounds like the only way to get it out is to prop on it and claim its yours, or give money to someone who's propped on it and claimed it's theirs.

i imagine, if i were to find land that was unclaimed, i would claim it as mine until someone took it from me, i gave it up, or i died.

Right. You earned nothing. Anyone with a gun would have as high a claim to it as yours, if we used your system.

and if i wasn't smart enough to assume no one would attempt to take it from me and i didn't defend it, then yes, i would deserve to lose it. maybe a harsh reality, but i'd rather have the land than a participation trophy. should i have deserved it if i didn't take care of it?

You dont lose anything that wasnt yours to begin with. But yes, it is very likely someone would come along and push you off it to live there.

Then it would be theirs.
