The best thing about being cut off from civilization is having to get creative with your time. It's surprisingly hard to ever have downtime and relax when you live more on your own, there's going to be a lot to take care of. You could also always open a sort of hostel for work exchange. Which brings friends, business, and a helping hand. Go for it, yo. It's crazy to see how much more control we have over our lives when living in a rural area. It's fricken awesome when you get your life back in your own hands. (:
