Medicine has advanced a lot

this doesn't seem to be a safe procedure to perform on minors. and while i've seen some convincing trans people, most still usually look like their original gender. so i don't think he'd be identical to a girl. maybe medicine can become so advanced that you can't tell the difference, but that's simply not the case right now.

ah sorry, i mentioned in my comment how my friend was a minor. so i assumed you were thinking it was safe to do on them. my bad. i think you make some good points, medicine has advanced a lot and we are improving in the field, and there are trans people who look identical to the sex they want to be. it's just that i feel that by encouraging people to transition, we are setting unrealistic expectations for them. as in how they can't truly be male or female, or how not everyone who transitions looks or sounds convincing.
