Why do the bible thumpers get so butt hurt over atheists?

Because Atheists tell them there is no God without proof.

Atheists wouldn't tell them anything if the bible bashers wouldn't be constantly shoving god down their throats and belittling them.

More than a little hypocritical to be upset about being told there is no god without proof if they are claiming there is a god without proof.

Frankly, with over 100,000 years of human history, it's evident that atheists were here first so the burden of proof lies on the religion itself to justify itself, not the other way around.

Ditto. Where's the proof Christians?

  1. Churches haven't been around for 2000 years, They started appearing around 500CE.

  2. Just because the majority of wars are not religiously motivated, it doesn't absolve religion of being responsible for the remainder. You can't say it's ok to commit one murder because historically the guys down the street committed several murders. Religion is a leading source of justification for war, rape, murder and evil shit.

  3. 'Yeah but' attitude does not remove the evil done by religion. It is common for religious folk to refer to atheists as a group, as though it is itself a religion, which is false. All those who don't believe in god are individuals. Anyway, the most murderous regimes were communist, that's basically a cult like religion. And Hitler was a Catholic before anyone tries that dumb argument. It's like saying islamic terrorists aren't real Muslims, we all know it's damage control.

  4. So it is agreed, if you were born elsewhere you wouldn't necessarily be the same religion. This hasn't been debunked at all, you're just agreeing.

  5. So faith is basically blindly accepting something with no rational explanation regardless of the acknowledgement that environmental factors are the reason for the initial joining the religion. Still doesn't answer the question of how you know which religion is true.

  6. The concept that god is outside the natural world is pushing it into new realms of what was previously understood by religion. The more we understand in science, the more religious folk will argue 'yeah but that little bit we still don't understand is god'.

  7. The supernatural is largely proven to be caused by psychological issues, medical issues or chemical function in the brain. NDE's are primarily due to the brain releasing massive amounts of DMT, a potent hallucinogenic. There are also hundreds of documented cases of fraud commited, such as fake crying Mary statues.

  8. It is true that the bible has contradictions. Theology also demonstrates how stories were basically taken from other cultures, look how many other virgin birth deities there were with 12 siblings, it's all personifications of pagan and astrological fairy tale.

  9. If I write a smart quote on a napkin, does this make it divine? Nonsense writings from a shithole desert 2000 years ago mean nothing, and have been largely badly translated.

  10. Yes, misquotes and mistranslations exist. And have been filtered down to common beliefs today become of it. So the commentator agrees with the question again, not debunked.

I'm 2 minutes in and none of the questions are being debunked, it's just a dick thinking he's being a smartass by responding in a vague and non-committing way to some fairly legit queries that are not necessarily atheist questions, nor questions aimed at disproving god, but criticising the Christian religion which in my opinion deserves a fair bit of criticism.
