Remember that Germany is the country which doesn't have CCTV coverage so can't prosecute everything from sex offences to terrorism in busy city centres, due to privacy.

If app is proprietary I will use it only if my livelihood depends on it, simple as.

Same. I've installed maybe 2 apps in the last 5 years, no joke. Why so many prefer to browse websites through apps rather than just going in the browser (which is much safer) is beyond me.
