My $ is on TempleOS or neXt or one of the BSDs.

Palm OS v1.
Why BDS over others? The only BDS I ever ran was for FreeNAS, and I did nothing else with it.

The BSDs are the most stable and simple and old school.

That's why I picked Palm OS v1.
We shall see. I suspect you win.
Also I don't know much about various operating systems. I know most of the basics of MicroSoft but skipped some of the early DOS versions (I forgot which), Vista, Win 8 and Win 10. I don't remember which versions of Apple I ever used, other than the Apple IIe. I've used various Linux and Ubuntus but naught else. WinMobile and Palm too. Just using them doesn't make me an expert though.

Heck yeah. I liked how Palm came with the full productivity suite, including the Todo List. Android certainly doesn't ship that nice.
I suspect he will pick some non-Ubuntu Linux that makes him feel warm and fuzzy, maybe Debian- boring.
