win10 support till like 2025/2027 so yeah

Yeah, but really, when was the last time a MS product on an odd iteration release was any good? Win7 is all I can think of, but that was middling and XP was better.

That said, with pihole you can just block any telemetry from MS, and it is not a bad platform for home usage. Besides, no one will go to linux while it is STILL struggling to get games and (not)emulate them. I know MS is opening their systems to linux, and it won't be long till they replace their own kernel with a linux one, then you have MS linux and some clever people can just port the rest to their own build and boom, we all happy.

Linux is fine as it is (imo), if people want games then code it.. It's just that the people who for free write code for linux don't care all that much about game support. Anyone is free to fork it, and make a distro that has amazing support for games, and call it Gameux if they want, and even charge for it.

And I'm with you on the telemetry stuff.. tbh not just that, there's a lot of bloat that can be taken off and you don't even need to "hack" the OS to do it. I feel like every other iteration of Win is just beta testing. XP was goated, Vista was just... 7 was very good, 8 sits in the same room as Vista, 10 is fucking goated, 11 is... idk man, it looks like it's trying to be linux, mac, and a tablet at the same time. If the pattern continues, next Win will be some next level shit.
