Incredible detail available (3000 x 3000 pixels): http://web.archive.org/web/20010427190033/http://grin.hq.nasa.gov/ABSTRACTS/GPN-2000-001140.html

NASA removed this page, or moved it, but it is archived.

NASA removed this page, or moved it, but it is archived.

I bet they removed the photo, because you shouldn't be able to see the flag and "UNITED STATES" in the dark shadow under the lander.

The shadow is so dark that you cannot see light reflecting off of the gold reflective foil surrounding the US flag and text.

It's inexplicable for NASA. Literally. Weird, right?

But... I can explain it.

You are trying so hard to find anything so you can say it is a hoax, but you can't give a compelling motive. Look at the image with the highest resolution. You can see that the door has dropped down and the gold is on the moon's surface. When they opened that side door, it revealed the flag on the inside, where gold foil would not be required. After the lunar module landed, the side piece appears to be lowered and functioning as a table. You can see the gold foil bunched up, not around the flag, but below it.

Another logical fallacy. I don't need the motive to prove it's fake.

Also, you can see that they backed the rover into it position indoor of the fake backdrop. There aren't any tracks behind it. Because it's a backdrop.

I don't need the motive to prove it's fake.

You did neither: you didn't give a compelling motive nor prove it's fake. You haven't proved anything. You are throwing around weak ideas and spreading rumors.

Since you are accusing thousands of people involved in the space program of lying about their missions to the moon, you should get your evidence in order to make sure you are right, because it is a sin to give a false testimony. If you confess your sins, God is faithful to forgive you your sins. Here, I will give you a large source of photos, videos, and audio recordings, and you can look through them all you want to look for that secret backdrop.

I don't need to prove a motive, and it doesn't need to be compelling.

The photos are perfectly focused on staged scenes. They illuminated the flag in the dark. No stars in space, cause it's in a studio.

I don't care why they faked it.

What matters is they faked it. They murdered Gus Grissom to cover it up.

If you are wrong, you are guilty of accusing thousands of people of being liars. You should care.

I'm not wrong.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I mean, that's all I got, I just can't anymore.

It’s amazing they went 340,000 miles in that thing.

You can see the fake backdrop behind the rover and the lander.

That forgot to add stars to the backdrop.

[–]In-the-clouds[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

forgot to add stars

Do you see stars during the day, when the sun is shining on earth?

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Do you see stars during the day, when the sun is shining on earth?

No.

But I understand why I can't see stars in clear sky during the day.

It's the result of a phenomena called Raleigh scattering, which bounces light off of the atmosphere. That's also why the clear sky is blue.

The moon doesn't have an atmosphere, so the stars should be present, but there aren't any stars in any lunar photographs. Weird.

You can see the fake backdrop

I don't see it.

Why did they bring the rover?

Where did they need to drive to?

[–]In-the-clouds[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

For that matter, why did they need to go to the moon? Why does NASCAR need to race cars repeatedly around a track? Why did the military need to go to Antarctica? Why did men need to make submarines and go deep into the sea? Why do men wage wars against other nations to take their oil and other resources? Men don't need to do any of these things, but they do it anyway. Astronaut James Irwin humbled himself and admitted this about walking on the moon.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

For that matter, why did they need to go to the moon?

You've got yourself a logical fallacy.

Going to the moon would be an incredible accomplishment. Literally incredible. It's not credible.

But... if they had, then where would they need to drive a vehicle to?

It's like wearing a tuxedo at your funeral.
Your body is all dressed up with nowhere to go.

[–]In-the-clouds[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Men do not need to go to the moon. Some, because of pride and vanity, would want to brag about that accomplishment, but we hear more hype about the baseball world series and football super bowls than we hear about the space program. Few of us know anything about the current state of the International Space Station and what they do up there or any of the thousands of launches since the moon program began.

So.... they don't need to drive anywhere on the moon, but that does not mean they didn't do it.

It's like wearing a tuxedo at your funeral. Your body is all dressed up with nowhere to go.

Yes, that is a good analogy. And yet men usually wear their best clothing to their grave. You won't say that's a hoax, too, will you?

All of these high-tech works of men, if done without love, is leading men to their doom. The space program is a military endeavor, an offshoot of the Air Force, and the military is in the business of killing people. They may say they protect our "freedoms" but to them that requires using their weapons of war to kill people, and many times the targets are civilians. And under Trump, the space program became the Space Force.

You still haven't explained why they'd bring a rover.

What's the "motive" for a rover? It's nonsense on it's face.

[–]In-the-clouds[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

You want me to give a motive for a mission I didn't create nor want. They are interesting missions, but totally unnecessary. I imagine the rover allowed them to explore further and faster than they could possibly go in that cumbersome suit at 1/6 the earth's gravity.

But you won't give me a motive for why so much time, energy, resources, and people would be devoted to fake multiple moon landings. That's not fair of you to make such a demand. I also wonder what your motive is for propagating these rumors.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm not asking for a motive. You are.

Millions of doctors contributed to the COVID hoax, and they weren't in on it.

I'm rebutting the absurdity of the entire charade.

If it's real, then I shouldn't be able to point out all of these inconsistencies. But it's fake.

We need a new sub for the moon landing photos.
