Hamas lies just as readily as Israel does, but Israel is still murdering women and children on a regular basis even if the death counts are inflated.

I thought Israel was supposed to be good at propaganda. Everything they've tried has fallen flat. They're seething they have not been able to build up global support to finish the eradication of Palestine.

I guess it's hard to put any spin on this with the amount of video that is coming out of Gaza. I believe everyone who participated or organized the Hamas attacks should be killed or put in prison for life but I can't support the IDF for what they are doing. Israel is quickly loosing the moral high ground.

Hamas is a radical group in Palestine tunnels. Gazans and West Bank Palestinians are the ones being slaughtered and wounded in the thousands. /u/Jett199's support for this obvious ethnic cleansing is abominable.

In the 2010 census, 44% of the population of Gaza were 14 or younger. That's about the same as the percentage of deaths for children reported: 6387÷15207 is 42%, just what we would expect from the demographics.

(To work out the percentages, I've had to estimate the number of 65+ elderly people using the 2.6% figure from 2018, so the percentages are not exact but they will be close. The base numbers come from the CIA World Factbook.)

About 27% of the population of Gaza are women aged 15-65. That's pretty close to the 4257÷15207 = 28% of female causalities being reported.

The Gazan authorities are reporting 70% of casualties are women and children, leaving 30% men. According to the CIA quoted demographics, likewise about 27% of the Gaza population are men aged 15-65. Again, the numbers being quoted are pretty damn close to what we should expect. If anything, men are over-represented in the casualties, and children under-represented, which again is what we would expect.

We can see with our own eyes that Israel is indiscriminately bombing civilian targets, including hospitals, refugee camps, schools and houses. The Israeli government has repeatedly told us that this is exactly their strategy. They don't even bother to hide it. So unless you think that women and children are stronger, tougher and more invulnerable to harm than adult men (maybe babies are bomb proof?), then the reported deaths match up with what common sense tells us it should be. The Palestinian reported deaths are extremely credible and the denial of those figures is just propaganda.
