The authors are members of the repressor party, who believe that they are the "good guys".

It's unthinkable for these brainwashed people to consider that they are in support of the wrong side.

Every communist regime was full of people who are like these folks.

And when their system inevitable fails, they'll blame the people who could no longer support a flawed ideology.

"Socialism hasn't worked, because they didn't do it right."

Yeah... I'm pretty sure it [socialism] actually worked, as intended. The useful idiots were completely oblivious to the actual purpose.
