I knew I sensed the same vibe, but this is a great demonstration of the specifics. Politicians are marketing products. More and more people are waking up to this reality. If either of these men actually followed up on the rhetoric they sell themselves by, what a wonderful world it would be. But when advertising IS lying (which is precisely what it is), the words they said (say) tell us nothing about the actions they took (will take). Experience says 100% of the time, IGNORE THE SALES PITCH. Their words do not reflect reality, just a vehicle to power.
