Good. Our government should only be doing essential work (and spending OUR money to do so) in the first place.

We shouldn't be forced to fund non-essential work in order to fund the essential stuff either.

It's time to reign in our government and begin a return to what it was intended to be by the founders. It wasn't meant to be our surrogate parent. It wasn't meant to be our bank, loan officer, health care manager, etc. What was it meant to be and do? That can be found in a handy document called "The Constitution."

Yes, but the entire House should be involved. In this case, McCarthy is unwilling to deal with Democrats are put the Senate bipartisan bill up for a vote. In a Democracy, one person should not have that much power.
