We would first need to nationalize an oil company, which may be a bad idea. Probably a bad idea. Almost certainly.

However, private companies have already hijacked the levers of govt power.

We're living in a fascist system; with feckless voting.

We mainly produce a type of oil that our refineries are not geared for using. We typically sell our oil to South America and buy our oil from Russia and Europe.
