I think the cracks are showing. Jan 6th is showcased as this horrific revolution by white supremacists bent on tearing down the very fabric of America, but the BLM riots, far more costly and dangerous and across the whole country (and over a guy who spent his life as a violent drug addict, not saying he had to die over it of course), were characterized as "mostly peaceful." And a lot of people are dumb enough to think this is about race. While the vocal left on social media bought it hook line and sinker, I think the vast majority in the middle weren't buying it. Just look at how the mainstream media tried to make the hearings a huge TV drama unfolding for the public (with a nice, juicy side of ad revenue), but nobody watched. It's like Bill Burr said about the WNBA, "where are it's biggest supporters? There's nobody going to the damn games!" Same here, nobody tuned in. Just like they didn't for Russiagate, and they didn't all just blindly put masks on and get vaccinated. The cracks are showing. Question is, what will the ruling class pick as the next narrative we're supposed to follow? And if it's diametrically opposed to the current one, will they go to far?
