Because she doesn't want to lose her financial support or have to put in the effort to win another guy over. Kids are the means to a woman's survival. No matter how they need to be used. Sad biological reality.

Still doesn't excuse letting your kids get molested. If I had a niece and nephew who were being abused by my brother in law, I'd rather financially support my sister if it means my brother in law going to jail and not being allowed near the children.
