I remember when there was a huge push from fast food on this stuff. Every chain was advertising their version of a beyond meat burger. It was constant.

I tried one and couldn't even finish it. Really bad after taste plus the texture was my big issue.

Also I instinctively knew something this processed was going to be just as bad for you if not worse than the regular garbage fast food chains sell.

To me it was always just a matter of time before this junk went belly up.

Of course because once there is a market for mass producing this stuff it will be a lot cheaper than beef (including processing so it doesn't even need to be chilled) but they can charge a higher price. The fast food companies were desperate for that to take off.
