Out of all the many things the federal govt does, this is the one thing they are obligated to do constitutionally...

If you'd suggested that the border states use this opportunity and utilize the national guard or create state run militia to protect their borders and increase their sovereignty, I would've been all in..

However, that you recommended private parties patrolling the borders for illegal aliens is crazy, and what's more it shows a lack of basic understanding of the roles of the govt of the United States as they were founded.

This ignorance is society wide, and it's the reason most states now have private parties owning the public roadways through tolling and private parties will at some point likely maintain the national border. Meanwhile the Fed's dictate programming on NPR, ensure Tranny madness in public libraries, ensure marriage is meaningless, indoctrinate children through "proper" curricula, use federal agencies to guide science and pharmacology or track dissidents and free speech advocates.

It's not just you, and maybe it isn't solely your fault.. well, I guess honestly there isn't much to say really, it's just a piece of paper anyway.

The purpose of government is clear, but it is not being actioned effectively or by the will of the people. You are indeed correct in everything you say. I only jest in creating a private militia to deal with the problem ourselves because it has gotten to the point where it seems the more likely to accomplish the task of implementing national security than it being done by the government due to its repeated failures.
