The number of times in the past few months I've heard variations on "We didn't say that..." from the liberal wing gives cause for optimism. They are being forced again and again to withdraw ideas that are categorically opposed to what citizens want. They are being forced into the only option they have left: to impose their ideas by force. I then remain optimistic they don't have sufficient numbers for this step. We may yet get through this...
