As someone who used to live in a ~90% Democrat run city in Pennsylvania, where Republicans are physically attacked and everyday residents have to deal with a ton of crime from their "friendly" Democrat neighbors, their dislike of Democrats is justified.

Democrats rot everything they touch.

Ruin Philadelphia and Pittsburgh all you want, but leave the rest of the state alone.
