    What has democracy gotten us? Politicians encouraging rioting and civil unrest to keep political power? Our money going to a foreign country (Israel)? Politicians becoming millionaires and courting only big corporations? The government figuring out they can bypass the constitution by outsourcing your civil rights to private companies who can take away your rights?

    Indeed - those are the problems, though I'd argue that they are the result of a failed "representative democracy" that has allowed for the current oligarchy. This oligarchy wants voters to think that both parties are the same and that voters will not be represented by their elected officials. This propaganda will keep the oligarchy in power, when few people vote and they have smaller government and fewer regulations on abuses by the .01%. What's provided by a working democracy, however, is better representation for constituents and government regulations of big corporations, healthcare, &c. 'Late stage capitalism', the spread of disinformation, and other manipulations by anti-democracy right-wing politicians and their corporate sponsors will continue to limit democracy. A working democracy will require much more from voters. The Democrat voting rights bill was also a step in the right direction, albeit defeated by anti-democratic Republican oligarchs. Vote the old bastards out with the help of the democratic sytem and start over with new people. That's what democracy can get you, and Republicans who were voted out of office last November were also parts of important democratic steps in the right direction.

You are dim-witted if you don't realize that Democrats are full of career politicians who work hand in hand with other career politicians around the world, and they LIE about their personal beliefs to fool lemons like you to believing they are altruistic.     No - I've not argued against this. One of the reasons I am at Saidit is to challenge the disinformation that the oligarchy has used to manipulate many Saiditors.

    You're taking this out of context and you're oversimplyfing it. There are ways in which the democratic process fails in gerrymandered districts and with low voter turnout, hacked machines, and other problems. AND the solution to this is to USE THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS to resolve the problems. See also that Democrats tried to pass a voting rights bill that would have helped with this democratic process, but the Republicans defeated it. Thus you should see that there are significant differences between each political party. Don't simplify and decontextualize my comments.
