Hospitals all over the country have been laying off staff and keeping low numbers ever since the pandemic began. I unfortunately have been to the hospital 3 times during the pandemic (not covid related) and they were ghost towns. Hardly any patients or staff.
It is a staffing shortage of their own making for financial reasons during a pandemic. How the hell would a private for profit hospital not be making money during a global f'ing pandemic of which each covid positive patient nets you 30k in federal money in addition to the insurance/medicare/medicaide/self pay monies they normally get?
Is nonsense.
