    I'm well aware of what the old true liberals used to believe. Those people are long gone.

    We're not, we just call ourselves politically homeless or "classical liberals" (accurate but too pretentious imo) instead of Democrats now, while the contemporary left calls us alt-right/Nazis/fascists.

      You said this was always the case, I disagree but that's not really the material issue. We both agree the party is now something that needs to be opposed.
