The liberal party wasn't always like this. They used to be the champions of free speech. Supporting rights and freedoms for everyone is a good cause. Helping those who can't help themselves, now that's a downright Christian ideal.

But you know what, ww2 plane person, it shouldn't be about political teams like it's a sports match. That just bread and circuses for the peasants.

I'm well aware of what the old true liberals used to believe. Those people are long gone.

We're not, we just call ourselves politically homeless or "classical liberals" (accurate but too pretentious imo) instead of Democrats now, while the contemporary left calls us alt-right/Nazis/fascists.

Maybe. I think we are a silenced and intimidated majority with no obvious party to organize around.

You said this was always the case, I disagree but that's not really the material issue. We both agree the party is now something that needs to be opposed.

Btw, your text messages are not private and they're already being monitored.

We need more freedom and less government. Also shut down the NY Times.

If it is, then obviously the government isn't working for the people, but is occupied to oppressing the people.

What's wrong with what the NYT wrote here?

If the government being protested (Cuba) is un-free, then calling for "freedom" is correctly anti-government.

Wake me up when they say this about people in the USA. (It wouldn't suprise me.)

Freedom is slavery, haven't you heard?
