Okay... sooooo... what now?

The different branches of government and other governmental organizations a part of it are all semi-political entities in their own right. It's like that for every government. The Lord of the FBI hedged their bets. The CIA hedged theirs. Even the highest court in the country refused to side with Trump without additional political backing, which they never received, and quietly excused themselves from the potential chaos.
