If you ignore warning shots, you have to live (or more likely die) with the consequences. Oh, and you definitely have shit for brains... This guy did NOTHING wrong and was vilified just because the thug he killed (in self defense) was black. I'm sick of this bizarro world bullshit...

This is a tragedy.

He was assaulted by someone who knew he was armed.

I'm not suggesting the attacker deserved to die.

However, persisting in a physical assault against someone who has all already discharged their firearm, is recklessness that borderlines Insanity.

If discharging a firearm doesn't stop an assault, then what will it take?

The guy who attacked Jake Gardner deserved to die.

    Why?

Because he was damaging property, and assaulting a business owner?

Anyone with a conscience feels some degree of guilt after events such as this. Regardless of any legal justification.

Jake Gardner sounded like a decent enough fellow.

Did he deserve to live with the guilt of killing someone?

When a person is defending themselves and their property justly, then anyone attacking them should expect to die.

Maybe they should. It doesn't mean they will, or that other will agree.

I have no sympathy for the thugs who attacked him.

Do you have sympathy for the regrets a person may have who killed someone that they didn't want to have to kill?
