It was a real mistake painting Trump as orange Hitler. People have eventually noticed that the world hasn't ended and the sky hasn't fallen in and the government is running pretty much the same as it always does, albeit a bit more noisily.

It's arguable that in the US system politicians make the government far less efficient so having someone who's more hands off (because they don't know what they're doing) means things get done. You end up with a semi-technocracy where the boring people behind the scenes are making many of the decisions without interference.

I mean in Belgium they didn't have a political arm of government for 2 years and no one noticed.
