I had about 50+ posts on Reddit where I had a whole post typed out, or responding to someone else, or posting in chat, when I received a message saying you can't reply to this sub anymore. If I made a post it would get deleted for a seemingly random rule, such as "No off-topic" or "Must be quality post". Even when they were quality posts and on-topic. This is a specific example that EXISTS, that happened to me, I was a reddit user that got censored multiple times on multiple subs, over a period of a few years. I only stayed on there because I couldn't find any alternatives.
If they disagreed with my post, if they disliked my character, a few clicks and my voice could be made silent to millions. That is one of the ways how they gain power, by silencing others who disagree, one person at a time. Soon we will hardly be able to speak. Unless we constantly keep an eye on the shadow of censorship that constantly tries to grow it will consume our voices. Unless we try alternatives like saidit. Unless we keep in touch beyond social media. Beyond the reach of an all encompassing censorship.
Ultimately beyond censorship is the shadow of power. The leftist wants power. Look at all the riots, look at the protests. They want the system to just get rid of all the police? To let anarchy reign? I have not see any proposals on how leftists are going to run things properly besides vague and idealistic outlines. It sounds like communism ultimately leading to anarchy is on the agenda, just like what happened at CHOP/CHAZ.
It doesn't seem like they care about the oppressed, it seems like they only have anger towards a perceived power hierarchy and think that if we tear it all down it will be better. That if they were in power, they'd have done things completely right. We are all human though, we need to understand in the same positions we'd all make the same mistakes. No one is purely morally or ethically virtuous, especially not a power hungry leftist. I just hope we are able to stop this radical leftism without causing a backlash in the opposite direction...It needs to be stopped or at least balanced somehow or else the future looks incredibly dark....
