So let me get this right, a freshman congresswoman with no real power in the Democratic party wins a primary and you are ready to declare that “leftist mobs” are taking over the party?
Talk about being an alarmist. Give me a break

People are voting blue at high rates, especially far leftist/socialist. In the future, more of these people will be in power. These kinds of people will destroy the country, that's why.

a lot of blue are conservadems who sell out to repub s and the rich. So we have a cycle in politics, people vote for dems, the dems in power sell out, people voting feel betrayed and get apathetic thinking both parties are the same, don't vote, repubs win instead due to low turnout, repubs wreck the economy, people get pissed off and vote dem, rinse and repeat.

Funny because Trump is a republican and before Covid-19, we had a historically great economy. Blue cities had the worst policies, so their economies took the biggest hit.

yeah the response to the corona has been a diasster. He didn't think it would be a big deal but hundreds of thousands died needlessly while he said it was no big deal. I guess it's not much a surprise the rich would do something like this, release a bioweapon then do nothing to help the people deal with it. They don't want the economy to be good for us. Economy always crashes under a repub president, but then a democrat comes in and slowly fixes it with austerity which is unpopular so he gets voted out and a repub comes in to ruin things again. Basic shock doctrine.

Trump has no power over the states, just like dems said.

That is true, say the federal govt had ordered a lockdown. He could actually since we are still in a state of emergency since 9/11, but doing so would anger people and cause them to realize and question why that is so. Maybe Trump even knows corona is dangerous and wanted to lock down the country, he was on conference calls with all the governors. I always remember how Obama definitely ordered occupy wall st crushed but had mayors of cities do it. Because the federal govt stopping protests is against the 1st amendment. The constitution gets broken all the time though. They just have to be careful to cover their ass when they do it. Supreme would rubber stamp anything anyway. Trump had the protests around the whitehouse teargassed for the bible photo op, that will go to supreme court but you already know how that will go. Dismissed. They give people protesting free speech zones, unconstitutional. The fed govt could invoke military powers in an emergency to make people go to lockdown. Kind of like Abe Lincoln halting habeus corpous during a war.

People would then call Trump a dictator, just look at twitter.

true but it is foolish to make presidential decisions based on worrying what people on twitter will say

really he shouldn't even go on twitter, but he's a clown

If Trump does that, the media would smear him and damage his public image. He should go on parler instead.
