Spanish and Italian tomatoes cost more in manufacturing, but are generally better quality. Shame really, it always comes down to price. After a decade in food manufacturing, you start to recognise Thai chicken for example. It comes cooked, sliced and frozen for cheaper than local fresh chickenses 😐
