The Brits love the taste of boots so much they just keep these guys around? This is like if we gave the Kardashians our tax money and knelt in their presence.

Sometimes better to have a fairly harmless team mascot than have to drag along your dementia ridden uncle for 4 years 😄

Hahaha yeah Charles looks a llittle confused, but at least the real person in charge doesn't have Dementia like our president

Sometimes it feels like we've turned elderly care into a bizarre reality TV show 😂

'Keep these guys around'!?

England only exists as a country due to the British Royal family ... it was their personal property.

Everybody living in England is basically their guests.

So....you are nostalgic for the days of feudalism when you were their property, just as I suspected, bootlicker confirmed

Ah, yes, the powerful argument that is to spew useless ad-hominems. :/

In any case, the British Royals are not some common 'celebrities' from the American colonies, well except for that one that the family idiot, Harry, married. This family's ancestors essentially invented/created England, as a country which, by law, they inherited. If you live in England, you live in 'these guys'' kingdom, literally.

Now, if one doesn't like it, they can always get the fuck out of England but they don't get to tell its owners what to do.

Literally? No, the role of the monarchy is mostly just ceremonial, they can't do much of anything but throw really expensive tea parties without the consent of parliament. You should really know this stuff better than me, I don't even live there

Yes, it's the King's kingdom,'literally' ... oh, and ... 'Le Roy Le Veult', Royal assent, which is the final step required for a parliamentary bill to become law.

A veto power that hasn't been used since 1708, and a real King/Queen could make decrees, they do not have the power to legislate a damn thing, parliament must consent. This is no diffrent than the US president vetoing a bill, and he is not a King

Oh, King Charles III is a very real King indeed, and not one of those US Elvis kind of ... 'Kings', as you seem to imagine.

a very real King indeed

From your link

"The Commonwealth realms are sovereign states. They are united only in their VOLUNTARY connection with the institution of the monarchy."

Yes frightening
