Intergenerational contagion of lunacy. Very sad. And from that standpoint, is there any surprise anymore that there is also social contagion of lunacy?

There always has been social contagion of lunacy - dancing mania was an early example. If you've spent time around a crazy person (especially in early childhood when you literally don't know what's real because your brain is open like on shrooms and you believe in magical thinking), you start to go crazy trying to deduce what is real and what they are lying about.

Given that so many kids grow these days with only a mother and not a father.... this makes a lot of sense.
