Totally disagree with the take was around the pandemic. It's about authority. If you start a conversation with somebody and immediately set the tone and language in the first sentence, it's not about inclusion or visibility, it's about power. You're limiting what language they use and punishing them with some ist, ism, phobe label if they don't follow your rules. Fuck that shit.
