His job, like everyone else’s when they are handed a firearm, is to clear the chamber even if the person handing it to him just did so right in front of him. He is at fault.

Yes. I feel bad that this happened with him, even if I don't like him, but he helped cause the death of another through negligently handling that firearm.

But he did not intend to shoot and kill Halyna Hutchins, by any stretch of the imagination. The dumbest lawyer in New Mexico could see Baldwin walk. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will likely be behind bars.

Intent isn't the bar for involuntary manslaughter. The person shooting the gun has some responsibility to safely handle the firearm, regardless of what somebody else tells them. That this is standard practice on set is true, but they do not have different laws apply to actors on a set

He pointed a working gun at a live person, cocked the hammer and pulled the trigger, without first ensuring it was unloaded.

The key is whether he thought dummy rounds were loaded and whether he had any way of verifying they were dummy rounds. Spoiler alert. He could have.

As much as I can’t stand Alec he is innocent of any wrongdoing imo. He was not responsible for loading the gun, and I think it’s unreasonable to expect him to unload the gun to check if the ammunition was blanks instead of bullets. Thus I believe a reasonable person would find him innocent of even involuntary manslaughter.

No but circumstances matter, and as I’ve already stated I believe it is unreasonable to expect him to check the ammunition when the set “expert” was responsible for loading the gun with the proper ammunition.

You apparently have no knowledge of firearm safety. Baldwin would, had he taken a NRA gun safer course rather than bag on them and be all anti gun. Say, if he is so anti gun, why was he ha doing a firearm?

He is the production company in this case, so there is that.

The armorer, the daughter of a famed longtime armorer, has been charged as well. They are both severely at fault. I too hope the family takes all of his money.
