Funny how it went from “my body my choice” to suddenly “your body my choice” when it came to the covid vaccine.

The covid times caused me to lose what little faith I had left in people. Folks wishing death on people who were apprehensive about taking an experimental vaccine. The same one that the current president and Vice President both said they wouldn’t take (until, of course, they assumed power).

Covid was just another excuse for the usual suspects to hate on and try to control the lives of people they didn’t like.

It was really easy to castigate people for wanting lockdowns to end when you work at home and can keep earning.

If a single reporter or politician had seen their income drop by so much as a cent because of lockdowns, covid would have ended the next day.

I saw the whole “covid amnesty” article in the New Yorker. They are not talking about amnesty for the people who pushed back against lockdowns and mandatory vaccination. You don’t ask for amnesty unless you’re guilty of something.

Which brings me to my next point. The media and ruling class have been constantly talking about threats to our “democracy” for the last few years. What they really mean is the threat of them losing power. The hysterics about the expected outcome of next weeks elections in the US show that they are terrified.

Why would they be terrified? What have they done that they think people might seek retribution against them and their families?

It’s like that scene in Sopranos where Ralph has to go humble himself in front of Tony and apologize, and Tony plays dumb and asks him “Oh? What did you do?” to force Ralph to admit his offenses.

“You think if your side loses next week you and your family are in danger? Well why? What did you do?”

One more thing on the vax. And I will say this as someone who got the initial two shots and NEVER asked someone their vax status and opposed vaccine mandates and who didn’t give a shit if someone chose to not get it:

I think lot of the people who shilled hard over getting vaccinated and who wished for death, confinement, and or ruin for people who didn’t get the vax weren’t scared about the covid spread.

They were backed into a corner by their own personal political beliefs. Certain people wanted to keep getting their good goy points and wanted to virtue signal about getting the shots. They HAD to.

But these people aren’t dumb. Despite their “safe and effective!” NPC chants, they knew there were risks with those shots. And they wanted everyone else in the same boat with them. I truly do believe that.
