So that no one would be able to buy or sell, except those that have the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

That passage seems to be referring to 'his' with 'he' being the devil, not the person trying to buy or sell (i.e. the mark is one of two things - the name or number correlating to 'the beast'). Presumably they are referring to a number like 666 or something like gematria, not a number correlating to the identity of some person. I don't see any support in the wording for it to be interpreted that way.

Then 'his' mark is the Visa/Mastercard/AmEx/Discover logo. You can't shop online without it.
