Under President Jeeeemy Carter's reign, he tried forcing American businesses to raise indoor temperatures. I was tasked by the bank I worked at to verify that the air conditioning was set at the Federally mandated temperature or face a fine by the gubmint. His boneheaded proclamation worked as well as his negotiation skills with Iran and the hostages.
