    What I read is that Uganda suffered a locust invasion that ate much of the crops, and they also are in a drought so vegetation is not growing back.

    In a sense, you are right because famine is a consequence of forsaking God. If people would repent and pray, God would hear their prayers and heal their land. It will be worse, I think, in America shortly, because in addition to famine, America will have to suffer the consequences of multiple wars... and other plagues. I wish it were not so, but America is a proud nation that has exceeded the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah, and Americans are too proud to humble themselves and repent. They will not confess their sins, but openly flaunt them.
