their stocks for the old one shows that they don't use that one
You're reiterating a moot point. Saying it multiple times doesn't make it true.

What's the "evidence" for your side? The legacy "media" propaganda machine? Whatever they say, it's probably false. Zelenskiy? The stand-up comic? Really?

Common sense. Russia has been the manufacturer of these weapons, they likely still have them.

Tochka-U missiles were not made by Russia. They were made by the Soviet Union.

Soviet Union = Russia + a bunch of other soviet republics. Where are you going with this?

Tochka-U missiles have not been manufactured for the many decades since the end of the Soviet Union.

So? As I pointed out elsewhere, ex-communist countries have depots full of soviet equipment, and some of it is still in use because it costs a lot to upgrade everything. Russia likely has lots of these missiles sitting somewhere as well.

Russia has repeatedly stated that they no longer operate Tochka-U missiles. There is zero evidence to the contrary. All evidence points to the Tochka-U missiles having been fired by Ukraine.

Russia also said they wouldn't attack Ukraine and that the military buildup on their border was just a military exercise.

I found a source for you. It looks like Russia's plans changed after Ukraine provoked them.

You ignoring the stocks by your pedantry merely exposes how little you know of the issue of what they're using along with what Ukraine has in abundance.

You ignoring the stocks
I'm really surprised that on this site where every second person is a conspiracy theorist someone seriously insists that if something is not on some official list, it doesn't exist.

I'm not surprised that a person ignorant of how military stocks work wants to insist on a false claim they can't back up.

ignorant of how military stocks work
Please explain. Why exactly can't Russia still have their old equipment?
[–]Inuma 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun - 2 years ago (8 children)
Because it would have to be retrofitted as explained along with the serial numbers linking to a unit.
As explained.

Sorry but the tweet is just a statement and explains nothing.
How would it have to be retrofitted exactly? My guess is they have everything they need - the missiles and launchers. Wikipedia even suggests there was a military parade in Russia in 2009 where they had these missiles including the launchers on display. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OTR-21_Tochka
How is the serial number relevant? You know you can paint any serial number you want if you were to do a false flag attack, right?

So instead, you ignored who shot the missile.

How do we know who did it?
Western media say it was Russia.
Now Russia says the whole thing was staged, they don't even bother with the serial number anymore. https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1595265/Putin-Lukashenko-Bucha-Russia-Ukraine-Belarus-FSB-ont

You just ignored the fact that the same seriel numbers for the same unit in Ukraine was firing in other areas.
