Lia Thomas has laid a shitty bed for himself.

If he loses, he's a loser. By winning the way he has won, he firmly proves that he is a male among females. Every win solidifies his maleness to us all.

This is not the way to a happy life. I'd feel worse for him, but from what I've seen he's shown zero humility for the position he's in, only a (very male) arrogance and snotty attitude.

He will never get what he wants, and that's some small consolation to the women who's swimming careers he has bulldozed. He will remain an unhappy male.

I have a different take on this, Lia Thompson did everyone a great service by bringing the problem such visibility. If this hadn't happened right away, if trans athletes had stayed in the shadows until the laws and attitudes allowing them were quietly cemented, women's sports would be ruined for decades. As it stands, this dude is only ruining a few women's lives and the outrage should prompt a correction.
