You've highlighted part of the problem. These activist groups use really bad people as their martyrs. Not only does this make people skeptical of ANY stories of police misconduct, but it also causes bias AGAINST what they claim they are trying to change. I've heard people make excuses for Floyd, Blake, Michael Brown, and Breonna Taylor. I ask them if they do the things that these people did that got them in their respective situations. Floyd was an overdose that was sped up by Chauvin, but the rest got themselves shot in acts of violence.
