She needs to chill a few more years.

I definitely get a crazy vibe from that photo.

Needs more observation.

If she is no longer nuts, then she ought to be released. We do not punish crazy people for things they do.

Hard to say though, even if she seems totally sane we don't know she might not snap in society. There's already one girl dead due to her, if she gets released and is involved in another murder that'd be 4 lives in total ruined. Right now it's at 3.

We do not punish crazy people for things they do.

But we can't fix crazy. I think the best hope for this girl is if she was never mentally ill, that was just a court defense, and she was just a stupid 12 year old.

I suspect she's on antipsychotics, and right now in an institution she's 100% compliant, but those drugs are brutal. They're hard to want to stay on.

Lots of crazy can be fixed.

Name one.

At best we can drug up people to help manage the symptoms, maybe in time it goes away on its own. Our abilities in the field of mental health are sadly lacking.

Why bother? I mention Steven King, Mark Twain, or Mike Wallace and you will just claim they were either never mentally ill or they thrived with their illness intact.

I dunno, I like to think I'm a fairly reasonable person. This is the only time I recall disagreeing with you, I mean twice I guess, but generally we're on the same page. You could at least give me the benefit of the doubt.

Steven King is one of my people. An alcoholic needle junkie. A lot of people don't know that. How was he fixed through current mental health practices? I know he got sober, that probably helped.

And Mark Twain was a personal friend of mine. He told me, Muskie, don't ever let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Mike Wallace like the 20/20 guy?

I have been away from American TV for so long that for me he is the Sixty Minutes guy.

I didn't know he had mental health problems.
