My grandparents with asthma got it and are fine. That shouldn't happen. Your ex BIL was misdiagnosed and mistreated most likely.

He had a daughter who doesn't have a father anymore. A 95% survival rate still means 1 in 20 people die.

If I die of a regular ol disease, I'll be a human and ask folks to keep living their lives, to not despair, to not be frightened of death. Some humans aren't so squeamish that they cry everytime someone dies.
