No sir, most religious texts are ancient and all of them are ridiculous concerning their serious assessment of reality, whilst fairy tales are a mixture of fantasy-filled fiction (Lord of the Rings) and oral stories recorded by Gaelic people interviewing Gaelic people. The common man has only seen fictional fairy tales, and he has seen very little of the true fairy tales. It is difficult to discern the difference between the fictional fairy tales, and the quasi-historical ones because of the nature of the presentation.

Religious texts are meant to be taken seriously, while fairy tales are meant to be nothing more than applicable information concerning man in relation to nature. As such, both actual events and fictional events are discussed in both topics, and so you think they are the same.

We both know that religious texts offer little applicable information. I doubt that you know for certain whether or not fairy tales offer nothing of substance, and can be thrown in with the cults of the world. There are no cults based off of actual fairy tales. The cults use purely quasi-historical texts to force their beliefs on others. Fairy tales do not compel people into commiting evil.

The difference is subtle, but it's all about the background information and the underlying causes of these topics. While fairy tales are indeed questionable sources of history, they are still full of nuggets of stoic wisdom.

You think fairy tale = fantasy, and therefore fake. Right? That's why you compare religion to fairy tales, right?
