High bail should be for people who are at risk of fleeing or committing more crimes. Maybe they are, but I see no evidence to support that and I suspect the high bail was politically motivated, which is very wrong. Innocent until proven guilty is not being followed anymore. I'm not sure it was anything more than an empty platitude.
