A video from the Lincoln Police Department Thursday shows one of its officers getting transferred to Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. He was shot while serving a warrant earlier in the week. A former member of law enforcement himself, that news hits close to home for Dun.
"This just really emphasizes the dangers that law enforcement officers face on a daily basis," said Dun, who used to work for the FBI and now works for the American Red Cross.
Officer Mario Herrera has already been through surgery receiving more than 130 pints of blood. Now, there's an urgent call for help. For the Nebraska Community Blood Bank, more than 1,000 donations are needed every week to keep the supply stable. It's similar for other organizations.

By the way. That is 16.25 gallons.
I am very sorry to say he succumbed to his wounds.
