So instead of removing civil asset forfeiture, instead of preventing any kickbacks from enforcement of any kind, instead of ensuring you cut off corruption by cutting off all external sources of money, instead of changing the metrics to prevent self fulfilling policing prophecies... instead of adopting known and currently employed police violence reduction measures... instead of doing anything that scientists and lawyers and sane people have been arguing in favor of for decades -- "hurrrrrrrrrrrrrr defund it".

This is like babby's 1st day of politics where you don't realize tons of other people have been actively proposing and working on these problems long before you were born, and you just pick whatever "solution" the media globbed on to from the extremists instead.
