I think it's time I say this, even if it won't make any difference...

Populations have/commit crimes, if immigrants are a part of the population chances are they have/commit part of the crime.

Without detriment to the severity of individual crimes (which are bad), If you chose to focus solely on the crimes of a segment of the population it doesn't really speak about those people but about your feelings towards them.
