Dang dude. I was going to trickle a couple more out over the next week. I still will, unless they're already shared.

Also I edited my other comment adding Wave Twisters links in case you saw it between the comment and the edit.

Trickle it man. I watched the Prodigy one and the Nu Metal one and enjoyed them both.

I only have 2 I'm interested in, with my limited time and focus, "Come On Eileen" and Before Black Sabbath: How Psychedelic Rock Became Metal. I've already watched all the older ones I'm interested in and backed up his channel a while ago.

I watched the Sabbath one last night, very good. I'm a rocker at heart though so I'm biased. The goth/Bauhaus one I really liked too.

I love this album. We used to play mine all the time in the animation studio. I had no idea where all these samples came from. My fave was Shake Your Rump the way it farted out the bass, and I even edited a version of nothing but those parts together for one of my old Agro sets. Ah DJ Shadow too. I've already shared The Avalanches on here.

Back in about 2003 or 2004 or so, as the US was about to move in to Iraq, again, the Beastie Boys released a copyleft anti-war single, "In A World Gone Mad", timely for these days too. I think it was on a free compilation album, mentioned if not promoted or even released via Wired Magazine. It was interesting because back then there was so much controversy about sampling and copyrights, and they were just like, do wacha wacha wacha want wacha want with it.

Beastie Boys - In A World Gone Mad (3:23) ~ SONICFILM, 2008-11-01

Not sure if I shared that on SaidIt before or not. Seems like there wasn't an official music video, but there's no shortage of people who took the liberty. This one is okay, though other videos with a static image have better sound. More importantly the open police brutality in those videos is what America has not seen for a while - and it seem likely will soon. Just because they are foreign nations doesn't mean they wanted corrupt cops any more than we do. We're finally going to realize what the stick looks like now that the carrot supply has been cut off.

Searching for the video for that track, I came across a few curious links:

I also found a couple mashups that are interesting - not bad but not great either:

Beastie Boys - In A World Gone Mad vs Skinny Puppy - Blood On The Wall by DJ AK47 (2:58) ~ xxxDJAK47xxx, 2011-05-08 - A combination I would have never imagined, like chocolate and peanut butter.

/u/d3rr, as you liked this short doc, and no one has commented to respond to, while listening to Cut Chemist sampling the Qbert's Wave Twisters, and thinking about MixMaster Mike wtih the Beastie Boys and how The Dust Brothers produced Paul's Boutique (something I didn't know prior to this vid), realized I forgot to mention that The Dust Brothers also did the Fight Club soundtrack. You may or may not have known that, but maybe others reading this might appreciate this. I'm gonna have to go back and dig into The Dust Brothers' discography.

Whoa I had no idea. I don't think I've ever heard of Dust Brothers before this though. That makes them highly influential.

I didn't know this trivia either: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dust_Brothers#Controversy_with_The_Chemical_Brothers

Also, if you like drugs, turntablism, and/or something wild and animated in the background TV during a party:
